JML Strategies, representing The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation (BMOTIA), successfully orchestrated the Ministry's first-ever collegiate sports partnership with the University of Miami Athletics. This groundbreaking collaboration was designed to elevate The Bahamas' profile as a premier travel and sports destination, targeting U.S.-based audiences and leveraging the University’s strong brand presence.
The partnership included joint promotional efforts such as exclusive activations during key University of Miami athletic events, strategic advertising opportunities, and co-branded campaigns that highlighted The Bahamas' appeal to sports enthusiasts and travelers.
The partnership's inaugural initiatives, such as Canes Weekend in The Bahamas, exceeded expectations, drawing more than 60 travelers and securing 20 hotel rooms, showcasing the potential for impactful sports-driven tourism.
This collaboration has positioned The Bahamas as a vibrant and accessible destination for athletes, fans, and alumni, marking a significant milestone in BMOTIA’s global marketing efforts.

Northrop & Johnson Celebrates 75 Years of Excellence with a Grand Diamond Anniversary EventNovember 1, 2024 – Fort Lauderdale, Florida –
Northrop & Johnson (N&J) hosted an unforgettable evening during the annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) to commemorate its 75th Diamond Anniversary. The prestigious event brought together 225 esteemed guests, including strategic partners, top clients, and sponsors, to celebrate this monumental milestone in N&J’s history.Set against a stunning backdrop, the event featured live entertainment, including an energetic and colorful Junkanoo band performance sponsored by The Bahamas.
Guests indulged in a luxurious spread curated by celebrity chef Jeff McInnis, including Bahamian-themed delicacies contributed by The Bahamas. The culinary experience was paired with an array of specialty cocktails, highlighted by a Pink Sand Spirits Co. cocktail bar activation.
Other notable highlights of the evening included luxury partner activations, exclusive event gift bags with Bahamian-inspired items such as stuffed pigs, and networking opportunities with industry leaders and strategic partners. The Bahamas team, led by Jonathan Lord (JML Strategies) played a pivotal role in the event, attending to connect with attendees and showcase the rich culture and hospitality of the islands.

JML Strategies successfully orchestrated a high-level partnership between The Bahamas and leading yachting company Fraser Yachts, exemplifying the pinnacle of co-branded opportunities. Notably, the partnership culminated in a Bahamian Sunset Soirée at Casa Fraser during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which was expertly produced and managed by JML Strategies.

The Palm Beach Boat Show, which is considered "one of the richest boat shows in the U.S" was hosted on March 23rd- 26th. We connected with the show organizers, Informa Markets, to discuss new opportunities for increased attendance and customer differentiation. Based on a year of research of not only PBIBS but the other major boat shows Informa owns, we thought to suggest incorporating NFL athletes. On June 9th, 2022, six top tier pro football players visited the shores of Nassau, Bahamas for an historic event weekend. Created by JML Strategies, the inaugural Bahamas All-Pro Celebrity Weekend consisted of community cleanup efforts with Bahamas National Trust, VIP dinners and the first ever FREE instructional football camp. "This camp was really historic, it is something to be proud of as a Bahamian" - Minister Mario Bowleg, Minister of Youth, Sports, & Culture.
